Food and Flowers

Mom and Dad (being the amazing parents they are) sent me these for no specific reason, other then I love tulips. They have actually bloomed more since I took this. But being the lazy bastard I am I don't want to have to re-load this image. :)

Update: Uploaded pretty new pics of the flowers. Now I'll take them home for Mr. P to NOM upon.

I've never made sorbet, and from what I could tell it really was just frozen fruit blended up into an ice cream form. Well my new blender f-ing sucks so i had to add a few other ingredients to get it to blend. Vanilla yogurt and orange juice. Really tart and actually pretty good. Oh and the fruit I used were peaches.

Now this monstrosity, like the previous, tasted about 100% better then it looked (which isn't difficult). Its just whole wheat pasta, mushrooms, yellow squash, bell peppers and Gruyere sausages. Then I sauteed them in some garlic and olive oil. Just had the rest for lunch. Not as good when it was fresh.

First attempts at cooking something other then a hot pocket

I kinda destroyed this lovely peice of sushi grade tuna. I really need a new sharp knife set. Anyway... I did a seared Ahi tuna grilled with just salt and pepper. With a Israeli Cous Cous, whilted spinach, mushrooms and almond sliver salad. Made a wasabi dipping sauce for the tuna.

Looks really bad but tasted pretty yummy.

Next is whole wheat thin spaghetti with an olive tapenade mixture, with cherry tomatoes and albacore tuna. I used way too much parsley in this for me but it still tasted good.

This is just a chicken breast seared with some saracha and then simmered in an Indian tika masala sauce with zucchini.

Welcome to my new blog

I've been reading my best friend Sarah's food blog for a while now and thought I'd create one of my very own. This blog will showcase my cooking and baking successes and failures.
